Assessing Critical Thinking Skills through Game Simulations
Rigorous methods and theoretically grounded content used to assess critical thinking provides educators with insight needed make sound decisions about learners. The significance of conducting research in this area is high given the use of critical thinking assessments with young learners. Presently, traditional critical thinking measures lack evidence to support the decisions we make about young students.
I am interested in and passionate about educational issues for learners, with a focus on using advanced methods to understand current assessments with an eye toward developing new and creative measures. A strategic research agenda builds evidence about the quality of scores produced by assessments to better support decisions made about individuals based off assessment scores.
