COP 3MT Competition Details

CONGRATS TO EMILY JOHNSON, THE WINNER OF THE COP 3MT EVENT!!!

 

WHO? Any active Ph.D. student in Pharmaceutical Sciences who has successfully passed their preliminary examination.

WHAT? This is a competition developed at the University of Queensland in which PhD students present a summary of their dissertation project in three minutes. The contestants speak at a normal speed, using only a single static slide and no props. The presentation should accurately reflect their work and should be engaging to a general audience. Only the winner of this College of Pharmacy competition will progress to the WSU competition, in which six colleges are participating.

WHEN? Friday, March 13, 2015, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE? SPBS 101

WHY? First and foremost, for the glory! In addition, the Provost is offering $3,000 for the winner of the WSU competition, $1,500 for second place and $500 for third place; this money is to be used toward a research conference of their choice. We will also be offering cash awards to the winners of the College of Pharmacy competition: $200 for the winner, $100 for second place and $50 for third place. Any additional non-placing competitors will each receive a $25.00 Starbucks card.
